Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her roles in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. The actress has won numerous accolades like two Golden Globe Awards, and sixteen NAACP Image Awards. In the TV and film industry, she is known for her nominations and awards. Bassett was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Her mother split with her father when she was about five. She and her younger sister then went into St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett when she was in high school watched John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. She was a student at Yale University New Haven Connecticut earning a bachelor's diploma (1980) in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American Studies) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main characters, Ramonda, in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
